Zinc-Plated Coach Screw

A heavy-duty zinc-plated coach screw with a hex head and coarse thread, used for fixing brackets, gate furniture and other hardware to timber. It is driven with a spanner or socket and gives a stronger fixing than an ordinary wood screw. Use a suitable pilot hole, especially in hardwood or close to an edge, and choose the diameter and length for the load and timber thickness.
