A 40-piece metric tap and die set covering M3 to M12 in coarse and fine, with die stock, tap wrench, T-wrench and pitch gauge in a case. For cutting a new thread and, more often, chasing a damaged one back to size.

• Check before ordering: Cut with oil and back the tap off every half turn to break the swarf. Forcing a tap is how they snap, and a snapped tap in a casting is a bad afternoon.
