Corner Clamp

Corner clamps hold two pieces of timber or board at a right angle while glue sets or the joint is screwed, pinned or tacked. Use them to square up picture frames, boxes, drawers and small cabinet joints, including mitred corners.

• Standard 90° (75 mm): a general corner clamp for frames, boxes and light joinery.
• Mitre (3 in): holds mitred frame corners square at 90°. This is the clamp in the photo: aluminium alloy body, two nickel-plated tightening screws and holes for fixing it to a bench.
• Heavy-duty 90°: a sturdier corner clamp for heavier joinery work.
• On the clamp shown, each side has its own screw, so the two pieces can differ in thickness.

Check the jaw opening against the thickness of your material before buying.
