A2 Stainless Steel Threaded Rod

Threaded rod in A2 stainless steel, also called studding, in 1 m lengths. Use it for hanging pipes, ducts and ceilings, making up long bolts, clamping and general fabrication, especially where plain steel would rust, such as in damp areas or outdoors.

• A2 stainless steel, standard metric coarse thread
• Sizes M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16 and M20, each 1 m long
• Cut to length with a hacksaw or grinder, then deburr the end so the nut runs on cleanly
• Use stainless nuts and washers to match, so the joint does not rust

Stainless threads can gall (seize) when tightened hard; a little anti-seize compound on the thread prevents it.
